ok here is my ??...i @ @mp is verry fleibele..my sub is going in @ seled enclosure in my its @ twelve @nd its voicecoil..Should i run it With one chnnel of the @mp to coil or should i bridge the @mp @nd wire the sub to 2 ohm?..witch will sound better?

if your amp is capable of doing 2ohm bridged then do it that way. the reason for this is that there will be small differances in the output of each channel on your amp, and putting even slightly more or less power to one voice coil of your speaker then the other will cause it to distort. i have a single woofer with 2 amps on it, one on each coil, and tuning both amps to make the exact same power output is a pain in the ass

Ok so heres the problem, by running both coils on a DVC sub in parallel, assuming each coil is 4 ohm's you create a 2ohm load. Which would be fine, but when you bridge both channels on the amp you cut the load in half again, creating a 1 ohm load, which most amplifiers are not capable of sustaining.

You could run the sub in series and then bridge the amp creating 8 ohms of sub load, and a 4 ohm amp load into one channel. Or run each coil to a sperate channel on the amp in stereo. But you are better off not doing this as it is hard to match the output of individual channels.

first off....speak english, damn. running one channel per voice coil my make the speaker hit off center. one channel may be more powerfull than the other. just wire the speaker at 2ohm and run the amp bridged at 2ohm mono.

i In english cus my dosent type some keys right now..but i just BOSS @nd they i to run it stereo or i wont get @s much power. i get 625 rms @ 4ohms Or 325 @ 2 oms (bridged)... how i it hooked up in my m6 @nd it would the @ll the time...my sub will i throw @t it (pyle 1200w) so im Gonn@ run it stero @nd see how it sounds if it sounds like shit ill use the @mp to run my @nd mick up @ sony Monoblock.....iknow there @ll components but @fter @ll it is my this pyle sub @ rocks i used to run @ 1200w mono on it @nd it knocked like two twelves..@ for the input..Im gonn@ go Buy @ new right now.

Gravity is 110% correct, for this reason I have a 4+4 ohm dvc sub, running a single channel mono sub amp, that runs a 2 ohm load on my amp and my amp is rated for that purpose.

Basically you should buy the right equipment for the installation to start with, 1 sub or 2 is a major factor depending on how you have everything set up. and there are other factors also.

If you want a single sub in yer truck it should be either a dvc 4+4 ohm or a svc 2 ohm, to run your amp effeciently. (I like to run things so its not hard on the equipment or electrical system, so I run a 2 ohm load set up vs a 1 ohm set up) if you have a 2 channel amp, for one sub its like buying a fish a bike.
If this is equipment you just picked up, or inherited, I would suggest getting a different amp. One that will handle a 1 ohm load.
Or sell all of it and start from scratch and design a system that will work best in these trucks, PM me and I will help ya out, I sold and installed for years, so let me know if I can help ya.

inherited get this i @ dvc 4+4ohm sub....i @mp 2ohm 325W rms bridged, 4+4ohm 625/2W rms stereo.. to rock it for now Best.. to hook it up like i S2id its in my D2ily so i dont so sink Money Into it.

run the speaker in series.....and bridge the amp down to one channel

i dont see where they got those power ratings from, it's theoretically impossible for an amp to make more power at 4ohm stereo then 2ohm bridge. also i agree that your amp and sub are really not a good match for each other. but if you must use them then the safest/longest lasting option would be to wire the sub in series to 8ohm then bridge the amp. the most powerfull option would be to wire the sub in parallel to 2ohms and bridge the amp, however your amp my not take this for very long and will most likely run very hot. also don"t put too much faith in what they tell you at BOSS "tech support" or whatever they call it, BOSS is hardly a reputable name in car audio, and there employes most likely know very little about the products they make. not meaning to trash your equipment by any means, just want to inform you.

yeah just buy new stuff...and a keyboard
