Will a KA24 go in a 2600i

Well does anyone know about putting a KA24 in a 2600I my friend is giving me his out of his 240sx, and i'm trying to figure out about putting one in? Does anyone know about this swap or where I can get any info on it at?

you'll need the tranny, and harness, or a standalone ecu. you'll run into fab work for the engine mounts, and maybe the firewall, & tranny tunnel, also will probably require the driveshaft to be modified.... not the run o the mill swap, but would be very kool once done!

Yeah I'll have the mototr the tranny the wiring harness and ecu were doing a sr20det in his 240 so free motor for me. So i should just need to make motor mounts and driveshaft thats what i was figuring the motor has like 90000 miles on it also.

Whats the horespower on a 2600 becuase the know the ka24 has like 140 horse and 160 ftlbs?

i think it was rated @ 102 hp, not sure on the tq.....

You arent helping yourself much on the KA24 to 2600i swap.Lot of work to pick up 15-20 hp and maybe 20 lbs of torque.u would be better off doing a bit of custom fab work on a header for the 2600i,put in some better injectors and polish/port u r intake and exhaust.I would bet the hp/torque ratings for both engines would be the same at that point.BJ

or swap a ka24det.
