Diesel engine swap?

I was just wondering if anyone has done an engine swap using a diesel engine? If so, was it able to bolt to the transmission or did it take a lot of fabricating? What was involved or what would be involved? With the gas prices here, I was considering swapping to a diesel engine and it would also keep me from having to go through emissions testing.

i douubt it would help with the emissions here in canada the vin number is what the testers go by.. if it was a gas truck originaly it must meet the original engines standards.

Danm put a cummings diesel in a mazda thats almost as bad as us putting a big block chevy in one but that diesel would sure make some nice power all tuned up you could make like 900 foot pounds of tork out the rearend even more. hahahahahahahahahahaha. I guess you would need to make a custom hood thou.
