ok so i was measuring and havent decided on whether or not i want to keep my tank in a stock location and raise it about an inch or so or if i wanna do what everyone does and relocate it to the rear clip, mine is an extended cab and has a larger tank... any suggestions? not too certain how this tank will fit in the rear clip and havent seen any dawgs with ext cab tanks in the rear only std cab tanks in the rear....whatdya think?

ext cab tank won't fit in the rear, and i dont see how you could raise it unless you raised the floor of the cab

you can raise the tank just enough to clear the frame but Cid and I just got a reg cab tank and put it in the rear of his truck and the sending unit and fuel pump from the ext. cab tank fit in perfectly hoping to have it up and running again this weekend and I mean just the motor running again.

yea its not hard to lift it, plenty of clearance to lift it enough to be away from under the frame, and i dont wanna get a diff. tank, maybe ill section and gussett my frame if i move it.

You can set the tank between the rails. All I did with mine and I do have an ext cab with the big 17 gallon tank, was cut a whole in the bed where the tank would go and notched the frame about an inch or so then I ran hard line up to the factory hard line.
