dude it's not worth doing shit like that,it'll always come back to bite you in the ass. Do it properly,go through insurance and the police. Settle it right, get justice, get money, get repaired and you're good to go.

HAHAHA......Call the cops and give a police report. Usually you have up to one month to file it but it should be done within 24 hours. That way you can go through insurance if you want later. Depending on the region that you live, if the damage is over $1500 then they will go after the guy right away and he will be charged with failure to remain. If its under $1500 then they will find and charge him when there case load is light.

In Canada if you want to find out who someone is and where they live you can take there plate number to the DMV and tell them that you are looking at buying the car and want a vehicle information package. It will cost you $20 but you get the persons name and address. Yes you can be found very easily. People use this all the time to find your vehicle to steal it. If yours does go missing you can also go to the DMV and see if a check has been done on it. Hopefully they didn't pay cash.

just call the cops tell them wat happened, just say u tried to follow him because they might say u left the seen of the accident, give them his plates, but just dont put a claim in for insurance.

Yeah, I agree, call the popos and insurance... you will prolly end up with some money and he will get a ticket, but I wouldnt wait to long.. sooner the better, it will prolly be a longer process, you may not get the money for a while, if thats what you care about, but better late than never.... my two pennies
