Hurricane Katrina

Hope everyone is staying safe, and enjoying a couple days off from work and school. Sincerely hope the damage is to a minimum for you who are in the path, however they are estimating dammages to cost more than Hurricane Andrew.

I didnt want to start another post, but I just a have to say something.

This makes me sick seeing this on Tv.

Looting for TVs, VCRS, and clothes. Rumor is that two female police officers were looting too.

Medivac helicopters being shot at.

Rapes and murders in the convention center.

Im sad to say that Im embarassed at how people and the government are acting. Days later and there are tons of people still waiting to get out of there.

On a seperate note Im going to buy a gun incase shit ever goes down here in Atlanta

Yes there were cops looting at the Wal Mart... but there aren't any more cops in New Orleans.. they all left. Its complete Anarchy down there.. horrible. Now is the time for us as civilians to step up, please if you can donate money, canned food, blood.. ANYTHING you can.. i just don't understand.. with as much going on there.. these people are worried about stealing tv's and vcrs. Food, and clothes are another issue because the water is so contaminated they smell like fecis and drainage.. and no way to wash their clothes.. but going to foot locker and taking 40 pair of shoes.. having your child help you carry them.. or stacking them on a display desk and drag it down the street is just assonine. Another issues i have is the racist comments made by the journalists. For example Wolf Blitzer from CNN made a comment in about the people on the streets of New Orleans who can't get help "....these people we keep seing over and and over again are just so poor, and so black." There is just no need for that right now... imo. Beacuse thats just adding fuel to the fire. And shooting at helicopters evacing people from the hospital, the super dome.. or shooting police in the streets.. or charging their police station with ak 47s.. those people are the reason the cops are laeving.. and here is a link to video footage of the police looting at the walmart.

it really is sad to see that a crisis like this can make people go crazy rather than trying to work together.

What I have seen was the Cops looting too, this is being aired by media looking for ratings. I have heard several people speak out for the officers and they were collecting supplies and aid for a local hospital that was running out of supplies. I have seen the associated press show pictures with captions referring to looting with a picture of a black man with items in his arms, but when they show a white dood in the same situation they said he was "collecting supplies" Makes me fucking sick. I feel and greive for all those trapped in that situation and hope they get the aid they need. BUT I'm sick of all the media hype bullshit, and the dicks that are taking pot shots at the cops and security forces cuz now they have guns. Gangster wannabe's. Man ... look at all the crap they made me type ... Jeeez.
