can some one with a b2000 or b2200 extra cab or long bed take a measurement from the end of the transmission to the pinion on the rearend. This measurement would help out a lot.
PS. Too all of you with b2600i with carrier bearing issue. I think i have a solution. but i need that measurement first before i know if itll work
we just swapped rearends a few days ago on our b2000 cuz of the carrier bearing went bad
swapped rearends cuz of a carrier bearing?
Well We Changed The Inside Gears Cuz We Werent Exactly Sure What The Noise Was And Then Painted It Yellow Lolz
well the 2600i carrier bearings are hard to find..but the 2200 are at every parts store.. the u joints are the same part number so i just wanna swap to a 2200 drive shaft and but are the lengths different.. just need a measurement.. please someone crawl under their truck with a tape measure
I don't know if the lengths are different, but the input shafts for the transmissions are larger on the B2600's. At least that's what I was told, I haven't found out firsthand.
yes. you are correct about them being different sizes.. But the u-joints are the same on all b-series. which means that i can just take the part of my driveshaft that goes into the trans and put it on a 2200 driveshaft
