computer wont play videos, what the hell???

ok heres the situation, anytime anyone on a forum posts a video, and i click the link to play it, it does one of two thinkgs, one it brings up the screen then says, file already in use, or some bullshit like that or tow it bings up the website/screen then just shuts down any window i have open

what the hell is going on??????

what version of windows do you have? and what program do you have to play videos?

What file type are you trying to play, you might not have the right codec to play it.

i have windows xp thats about all i know

so does it bring up windows media player when you try to play a video?

yeah it starts to, then it just shuts everything down, closes the screen

try to download a player like Quicktime by Apples. and see if that will open them.
