College Strike in Ontario

Is this College strike in Ontario affecting anybody else on here? Cuz it's sure affecting me right now.

yes it is.. an in short terms.. the teachers walked out... i got to college.. n they are bending me over atm.

I still have to work on this big project, but can't get any of my teammates to come to school... Plus i work at the school so i have to come anyways, and i have to cross the picket line everyday...

i mean, i understand why they are striking, but i seriously hope this doesn't last long...

not me, but a bunch of my buddys are getting screwed

the teachers want smaller classes, more money and less work, WTF! they dont do shit already, they get paid more then enough, and if they want smaller classes, go teach grades 1 through 8, stfu u stupid teachers

Someone please elaborate or link us to a full story of whats going on? There has been major talk about the students at UF going on strike next year and not attending school. Even if only 50% of the students didn't go.. the school would be hurting for SOOO much $$. But the reason they want to do this is they keep raising the cost of tuition and are making it extremely difficult for students to work their way threw school.

The teaching staff at all Ontario Collegeswent on strike. We have no teachers. Yet we are still responsible for all the work. and they might extend the semester which means ppl might have to pay additional months rent or, they might not even have a place to stay...

Thats insane! Before you know it they are going to hire all new teachers from the grade school level, and replace the professors. Same kind of situation happened in FL not too long ago. But it was all the high school teachers and their Union. Next thing u know FL schools offered teaching jobs to ANY college graduate, just had to pass a test.

yeah im in school to be a cop and now we are going to miss our 3 day trip to the maximum security prisons this year, damn it i wanted to go sooooooo bad.
but its not screwing me at all, it just gives me more time to work on the truck
only bad part is my graduation will be pushed back a couple weeks at the most
