would a viair 450 be ok on a 5 gallon tank. I am going to run this for a short period of time while I drive the truck until I get my brackets fabbed up for my EDC.. But who is running a single 450 on a 5 gallon tank, and what kind of fill time do you have?

I am not running a 450, but my two 480C comps take some time to fill from 0-200psi

The fill rate of the 450 with a 5 gallon tank would be 6min 35sec 0-145psi

So you would be okay if you didn't run your tank dry all the time.

damn man my dual 380's are goin to take forever if the 480's take that long

The 450 model takes that long...not the 480

Dual 380C Comps should fill a 5 gallon tank 0-200 in 7 minutes

Dual 480C Comps should fill a 5 gallon tank 0-200 in 5 minutes (which is what I am running)

My single 380 takes about 4-5 minutes to fill a tank from 75-150 PSI. So two of them should do it in half that time, which is just about as fast as a 480.

But ppl don't fill their tanks from 0 all the time. If a system leaks that bad, you need to fix the leaks. 175-200, or 115-145 for the 450 would be more useful to know.

bingo, only time my tank see's 0psi is when I drain the water out of it. which is maybe 3-4 times a year
