Probably a stupid statement but don't forget the gas argon mix....oh yeah I bought a little cylinder not knowing you could lease a 300 pound for the same price hope that helps .......good luck with the sparkage

so far 669 but i still need a tank and some gasssssssss...tomorrow my electrician friend is coming over to run me SOME 220 TO THE SHOP

well u can use the flux core wire that came with it on some heavier stuff. if you plan on sheetmetal you'll need some gas for sure. all the gas is for is to make a cleaner weld and allow you to weld with much less heat for like sheetmetal and thin stuff.

Actually quite good. Use the small wire 0.025 with the gas mix and have had no problem. Hopefully yours has the cheat sheet on the inside door which list wire speed & heat ranges for various metals. Comes in handy when you have a brain fart.

true dat yo'
i find that i usually(and by usually i mean, always) run less wirespeed than they recommend, and usually higher heat.
