So last May,My best bud died.Just in the last month or so the family asked me to help them with some of his toys.I got his dirtbike running and sold it for them,Put a new clutch in his truck and did some basic maitenace to it.
Well the last thing the gave me to work on was this 01 Raptor...I didn't even know it was his.It was at a neighbors house and he couldnt get it running. So I picked it up figured out what was wrong with it in like 20 min. I went through this thing and its been "Well Ridden".Its quite incomplete.I talked to his mom and we worked out a reasonable deal on the quad. So I had this Vision the other day to bag it.I mean it runs decent but this thing is wild! I've been riding my whole life, well dirtbikes. This thing is a beast. So instead of killing myself on this machine,I thought I might just Bag it Paint it up Chrome it out And Make it In Memory of my boy.
Just really not into going fast on this thing.Wheelies are just to damn easy on it.....
I Can't sell it nor trade it really when I thought about it.It was his,ya know?
I'm just thinkin "why not?" I know He'd think its crazy,or even a waste. But it could be a good time also.... Tell me your input....Be Easy

I vote NO. But if you wanna do it go for it.

anything built in memory of a loved one in my opinion is worth every penny spent. whether its ridiculous, ugly, beautiful. its meant as a memory for them so that makes it priceless. i say go for it.

I say paint it up chrome it out whatever dont dont bag it. Not trying to steer you away from doing it, but I would still wanna be able to ride it and knuckle down on it if I ever wanted to.

different. as long as you dont put 20s on it or any car wheels, id go for it, i wouldnt think it would really cost that much ya know? it would for sure be the 1st iv ever heard of. -bf

I was thinkin I was gonna invest some money into it and and have a nice 4wheeler but after riding it,no thanks.

I've ridden it as hard as I want to,I used to have a GSXR and it didnt scare me like this thing does.It seems very twitchy in this soft florida sand, atleast at high speeds...I like the control of a dirtbike waaay better...

Why wouldnt I put 20'sor even 22's? It would look good hoppin in the air... 3/8 valves would make it hop I believe.Whats it weigh?Maybe 5-600 lbs? I'm not sayin I am puttin big wheels on it but,I would like the biggest rim possible and still lay it out flat...

I've worked out a deal that I'm going to pay his Mom $100 a week untill its paid off.So it will be a month or so before I really start doing anything.

Well now I'm really thinkin about taking some measurements and seeing how I could accomplish this.

Have to say "Go For IT" Dropped90 said it pretty well - if you build it as a memorial to your friend make it unique and memorable!
