I can't stand ricers and their attitudes. I used to be into the 'tuner' crowd right up until like last year. I had a modified '87 Celica GTS as my first car,and then moved onto a modified '88 RX7 and later a pretty custom Ford Contour (do you even know what that is?? lol) of all cars. From the ripe age of 16 I was young and stupid and used to street race all the time and do stupid stuff,because obviously when you're young and stupid,you're invincible and not even Chuck Norris can stop you.
Well one day I just about had Bill Engvall hand me my sign when I was racing my Celica against a Del Sol and some ass hat decides to turn out onto the road from a side road without looking and I almost hit the car head on at over 100mph. I swerved to the shoulder on my left (keep in mind we're in a wide open,rural area) and headed for the ditch to avoid hitting the car. My Celica hit the gravel should at 80+mph,skidded completely sideways on the shoulder,then hit the asphalt of the intersection,spun around in a 360 and slid backwards onto the highway to come to a stop on the opposite shoulder facing in the wrong direction. I sat there wide eyed,a turd in my pants,white knuckled and shaking. I had realized right there how stupid I was and that I could have just kille myself and or several other people because of MY stupidity.
Anyways,over the next couple years I stayed in the tuner scene,but I was getting really sick of the attitude problems these stupid punk kids had. Rusted out Civics with fart cans and wings thinking they'll do 200mph and blow away any Camaro and Mustang left right and centre. They think they have the coolest cars and everything else is a POS,no respect for anyone and anything and just the whole atmosphere of the scene is just retarded now. I gave it up and when I found the mini truckin scene,the respectful,fun and relaxed atmosphere,the friendly and helpful people,I knew I found my calling.
I'd rather get a ticket for having a vehicle that's too low or 'defective' for building something cool,rather than look like a moron in a rice burner with a big speeding ticket,wreckless driving charge or even getting my car impounded.

well i would say no affense but you my good sir are a moron sorry to be so blunt, but if you would have hit that car at over 100mph or so you wouldnt be here and the people in the car damn sure wouldnt be head, believe me i seen wrecks cars from opposite directions hit each other at 60mph turn out wasnt to pretty.

wait i just noticed this part to, your basically hateing on people in hondas for thinking they can do 200mph but yet you street raced at over 100mph right?
and to the second part you your worried about getting your car impounded or wreckless drivin sounds like your lucky you didnt hit that car cause if you would have and you lived and they died, you would be worried about more than wreckless drivin my friend.

yes you are. he said all that because hes looking back realizing that he used to be apart of that scene, and realized just how stupid he was.
he also trying to make a point that the tuner scene has become something way differant than when he was into it. sounds like he was into tuning his cars engine up to make it faster than anyone else. now he sees the scene as young punk kids that buy a $500 rusting civic, put a wing on it, and want to race guys that have put a lot of time an money into their cars.

thats very tru but when i first posted i just seen the part about street racing and almost hitting a car head on.
Im by far not perfect and i myself have watched some street racing ( in ky its going behind big warehouses wewere all the people stand behind the cars so in case one does wreck no one is in jeapardy its kinda hard to explain cause i can see the picture of were it is and yall cant but all in all the area we race is totally away from the highway and such.
I mean of course its illegal but thats all been short lived so we take it to the track, only disadvantage they only stay open so late

I really don't like where the tuner crowed went either. I own a 91 prelude 4WS besides my mazda , and I really love it. Its a real ricer not some punk made in america civic . It's my daily driver. I was customizing it , but got bored with it so I picked up my mazda and started on it. I always wanted one since i was in high school. I 've enjoyed working on it , and customizing it . I can't wait till I finish it

ehh,not really,it's only 2 years older than my Mazda. They made that body style from 1986-1989. That was the first generation they went with front wheel drive.
My daily driver right now is a $600 Ford Contour with 270 000km. Visually,it's totally stock,but I've got a Sony deck in it,Pioneer 3 way 6x9s,Pioneer 3 way 6x8s,Ractive muffler,removed resonator,8mm plug wires and an MSD ignition coil. The car is loud as crap,but looks totally stock and the stereo sounds good. It's funny cruising around with the tunes cranked and the loud exhaust and people look and see a stock Contour and they're like WTF and I'm like maaaan I wish I was in my Mazda.....

And fifty (thats right-5-0) years ago I was street racing a 50 Chevy club coupe with a 265 V-8 Chevy in it that would go like he-- in a straight line but wouldnt stop,wouldnt turn, and I tore out at least 1 axle a week.Some things never change and we all grow up in spite of ourselves and our hormones.All u can hope for is that we all make it and no one gets hurt.Be Careful out there.BJ
