i've been doing some research & have come up with a cheap way to lift my '03 tacoma 4wd ext cab for under $500....3.5" in the front, 3.0" in the rear, it should allow me to run 285/75-16's which are = to @ 33" x 11.0" tires.... here's the list of goodies:

performance prod. 1" lift prog. rate coil springs $168 shiped @ performanceparts4trucks.com
pro-comp 2.5" coil spring spacers $79.95 p/n 64301@ summit racing
skyjacker 3" add-a-leaf kit $74.95 p/n rtc20 @ summit racing
pro-comp es3000 front struts $54.95 ea. p/n 618053 @ summit racing
pro-comp es3000 rear shocks $32.95 ea. p/n 326006 @ summit racing

summit is running a deal buy 3 procomp es3000 shocks get the 4th for free!

although you can get almost the same thing from rough country suspension (2.5" front & 2.5" rear) for @ $369+ shipping, but you don't get new coil springs, & it uses shackles to lift the rear instead of add-a-leafs
i need the extra lift in the front to compensate for the grille guard that i want to put on plus i haven't ever cared for lifted or lowered shackles, the allow too much sway in the suspension

well upon further review, the deal on the shocks were for es3000 or es9000, the struts for the front of the yota are es6000's, so the buy 3 get the 4th free didn't apply, but i ended up being 420.75 shipped for what i listed, plus i went ahead & got some braided brake lines for it too.....

as for lifting a mazda i think you can get a set of control arms or coil over shocks for the front to lift it, & a add a leaf kit for the rear, or if you have a few spare leafs from a mazda spring pack, you can take those & make a new spring pack that will lift the rear @ 3" or so by adding two leafs.....

you can also get fiberglass fenders that are flared 3" & have a 3" increased wheel well from glassworks unlimited..here's a link

these could be used as well on a lowered truck if you can't find
4wd fenders to be able to tuck!!
