Post your drag damage here!

This weekend I went out to see my truck and was amazed that the front suspension was this messed up and still worked fine in my truck. What kind of dammage have you guys run into while dragging your truck? Before this, I had my torsion bar ripped out on a railroad crossing. It went through my gas tank. 15 gallons of gas came out in a hurry! LOL

haha those 4 bolts that hold my cross member in are all gone! i had to weld that bitch in, ill get a pic the next time i go to my dads

I don't think we have a death wish any more than any other extream motor sport ie( drag racing, rock crawling, any racing for that matter). We just have to keep a watchful eye on our equipment to make sure the vehicle is "safe" for the road. There is a certain amout of carnage that goes with it. It the last twenty years I have been through 12 trucks, but I have had my 1991 B-series in one form or another since new. This is the third full build on the truck and I have had at least six different suspensions on it. Its all part of the fun for me.

Well,I drag race and have for the last 40 years or so.Never crashed,always tried to be safe and made sure my equipment was safe as well.Scraping a frame into pieces or losing the four main bolts holding a subframe in doesnt seem to be real safe to me,chief.But,to each his own I guess.Drag on,dude.By the bye Ive had my 1992 B2200 for 10 years or so and it is mostly all original except for major motor mods and I will keep it until I die,whereupon NYTRDR gets it Lol.BJ

Bump.And if I can count right,the 92 is my 14th Maz,starting with a 1974 RPU,so I know a bit about the trucks meself.BJ

trust me man that crossmember is not going anywhere!, we took our time and welded it in, i do not drag it anymore anyways, and i agree with badchicn about racing etc being just as dangerous

Not to mention, right now I am going in more of a show direction. This truck is getting a custom frame right now, that will eventually get powdercoated and chromed out. I promise you when it gets to that point, I wont be draggin' it. Maybe wipin' it down with a soft cloth!
