Is it just me or do mazda b2200's sound like they got some balls around 4000rpm, at least mine does espescially with a k&n filter in it. Just need to re tune the carb I think when I step on it, it cuts off for a quick second I think it sucks in to much air for the stock carb lol...

At 4k rpm my truck does not sound beastly, even with a K&N and Flowmaster 40.It sounds a little more like Beauty and the Beast instead, with emphasis on the Beauty. It also begins to sound like things are about to appear thru the hood.Lol>BJ

I got a kn filter and a performance ignition and a custom 2.5 inch exhaust, I like the sound you don't hear it till I step on it.
my rebuild is not as noisey as stock motor but I have yet to find b22 that sounded healthy, maybe the sound they make is just realative?

it's those damn lifters lol

u bet. As good as my old truck runs otherwise, those damn hydraulic lifters combined with a really crappy upper end lube process make it sound like a 10 gallon bucket of marbles at anything more than 3500 rpm. I cant wait till my Paeco gets built and I finally have something that makes power at 2500 rpm instead of heaving its guts out at 3500 rpm.Lol.BJ

Bump. I would like to wish the Japanese engineer who designed those lifters a lifetime of living next door to a tin can factory. Lol. BJ

With my K&N filter and Flowmaster 40 series muffler, single inlet into dual outlet, Sounds badass around 4000rpms
