Iran and us

Well guys, guess what? I was told by a co-worker today that the military is starting to ship soldiers out to Iran! Reason she knows, is because her son called for shipping out. He is in Iraq already. And she has another that I know that JUST graduated boot camp. I don't believe we are supposed to go to war, but we are indeed occupying their country very soon.

Its a bit scary to hear, because in my CWA class, we are learning about Iran, and nuclear proliferation. They are supposedly trying to refine their plutonium for fuel in civilian nuclear opertions. But the problem is that they ae refining it into weapons grade. Which means they could be trying to sneak some for a weapon!

All this post was intended to do is notify you, my fellow truckers on what you should hear about on the news in a few days... I would suggest watching when possible. This is serious and can get very deadly quick...

If one of us presents more hostility between each other, it can fuel a large fight. And with us allied with Isreal, Iran will not want anything to do with us.

And whattya know? Escelation, and I'm 18. I'm at risk for a draft, and anyone 18-25 for that matter, lol. We have thousands of troops spread out thin already, from the mexican border, to Iraq, Afghanistan and more!

HeX0rz, there is more than just iran to worry bout.....n. korea, iran, pakistan, syria, china, russia.....the first four are the hottest spots, but rest assured if something were to happen in n. korea, china will be backin them all the way....also don't forget, chaves from venesuala (sp) he acts all buddy, buddy now, but when fidel passes, i bet he'll make a move on cuba...just my .02 on that, then we won't make a move just as we did in the 60's because of russia.... it is all pretty much a chess game it seems, unfortunatly our gov. risk fine individuals such as scarecrow playing it....
bad thing is, as both of you have said we are spread thin, so we would put ourself in a checkmate if any of several "hot spots" were to flare up...

we have made many enemies trying to force democracy on other nations & people...or "trying to help them out" & trying to police the world....if we started paying more attention to our problems at home than that of our neighbors then we might not be where we are now....or we could be worse who knows, but as americans we are carring individuals for the most part & don't want our neighbor to suffer injustice.....there is cause to do certain things, such as be in afganistan searching for oisuckaone benbobbin (osama binladen), but intruding on a country under false pretenses as was done in iraq is wrong....we should have finished what we started the first time when it was just 10 years ago.....

anyhoo as scarecrow said i'll stop the rambling. there's a reason why they say you never talk about govt or religon.

This is the difference, by mouth of my coworker. She said her son told her that there going to send troops to Iran over the issue of nuclear proliferation. I dunno what they are gonig to do, but they supposedly are going to station a base there?

So as you speak, your in Afghanistan? If so, I hope for the best for you, man. I'm not too worried about the draft, but I won't doubt it happening later on... Just depends what strings bush wants to pull before he leaves office.

I understand that there are plenty of other nations around who pose a threat in terms of nuclear proliferation. But right now, we are looking at Iran. They have refused to let any U.N. inspectors come into their nation, and they have been abstaining in any part of non-nuclear proliferation.

As for N. Korea and China, etc. We don't have too much to worry about at the moment. China is in too many economic ties to try and think about attacking us, and Korea can't even get a missile thats good enough to hit us. Other nations like Pakistan also have too many ties with us. We are working with them currently to try and bring down Bin Laden. But all of this does'nt mean they will pursue and hold the ideal of having their own bomb. Whether or not they plan on actually using it is the other question.

All I had to say is that, Iran is probably next on our list. And it don't surprise me. But this is just another nation that is going to drain us because of Bush. And I would like to hear a DAMN GOOD reason for once again occupying another nation of a WMD.... Ironic?

Eh, man, I only say this because this is what they're saying in my class. So either I'm misinformed or your really right. Could'nt prove that your right, but I'll take your word for it. Although, even when I say they're really not a threat, they are. It seems we have worked ourselves as "players" with other nations. Everything that gets us the most advantage... lol.

I'm not sure either what you do in the military and ranking, but what exactly kind of reports on what?

dont' believe everything they tell you in school....good example.....pluto, when i was in school it was a planet....now it is supposed to just be some rock......next thing they will be telling our kids is that the solar system ends at mars.......

as far as our gov & military, the public is never privy to half of the real info...............not to mention the news media will lie their a$$ off to makeup a story if they think it will get ratings higher!
