Hi guys & gals...

I am currently in China to accompany my girlfriend who is adopting a second Chinese daughter. We are going to be here for 2 weeks.

Today we visited a local temple 30 minutes from our hotel. During the drive over I kept my eyes open for Mazdas but did not see any. I think I saw a few Nissans but they have a Chinese brand name on them. However, I did see lots of scooters and bicycles.

I have to say that driving conditions in China are CRAZY !!!

Cars, buses, scooters, bicycles, 3-wheel scooters, etc., all sharing the road with no one paying any attention to lanes, stop signs, etc.

I am glad I am not the one driving, I would go nuts.

Cheers !!

And our driver is one of them. LOL !!

He has this cool rotating grip bolted to his steering wheel that enables him to quickly turn the wheel while keeping a hand on the stick shift.

I asked him about it, through an interpreter, and he is going to show me where to buy one for my truck.

Today we went to a local amusement park and we where the only white people there. I am 6 feet 2 inches and have a beard, uncommon on men in China, so I was really standing out. All you need to do is smile and say hello in Chinese and you are an instant hit. One guy told me he was happy to see me because I was as tall as him. Otherwise I tower over most Chinese.

Cheers !

I know this will sound like your dad giving you a speech, but I don't really think the word pakis is appropriate for this forum....Perhaps middle eastern people, perhaps take the staement out alltogether.

I have seen may people of many races who cant drive, many of them immagrants, and many more of them are europeans who just dont care...

I have seen them on trucks and buses in my province so I think I could get away with one in my truck.
