Bongo report:
Bringing up my old thread again for an engine report.
Mpg's within my 5 mile radius of driving around home is steadily around 25mpg. After driving around 160 miles to the mountains, up then back down, and getting fuel I showed 30 mpg. Included about 20 miles with 2 whitewater kayak's in the back. Not too bad. Motor did great. That was the longest trip I'd gone in my Dawg since I've had it.
Just got my Innovate LC-1 and gauge in yesterday finally. At less than half throttle in 5th gear she's reading around 15, wide open it drops to about 12. I think that part is pretty well tuned from what I've been reading. 14.7 is optimal half throttle.
I've messaged Sam, who I bought the motor from, for a copy of the ECU mapping and info I need for Megatune. Not that I'm going to change things, but it is info I'll need.
Oh yeah, the Walbro pump has been nice. I typically only hear it on the 93+ degree days. Even then it is not bad at all. And the radiator fan, as installed, hasn't given me a bit of problem. Still may try sealing it one of these days.
I want to rewire some of the engine compartment to lengthen some of the wires he has on here and move them into more hidden locations. But that may wait till cooler weather.
