86 mazda B2000-
this truck started as my next door neighbors when i was 12 he pulled it out a junkyard with the whole backend smashed up and no running engine from then untill i was 14 me him and my dad slowly rebuilt the truck but really didnt do any mods to it besides the paint job which was done in my garage by my dad and chopping the roof off. then it sat there in my next door neighbors garage for a year untill i was nearly fifteen and one day i asked him if he would be willing to sell it and he said if i wanted it give him 750 i had some money and my dad paid the rest which i had to pay back from there it sat for about six months.
when i bought it had no interior no lights no bumber no grill no windshield and the engine bay and that were dirty as fuck so from about 15 to 16 and half when i couldnt drive and had no job i just slowly did things that wouldnt cost me money or at least not alot (like spray paint lol)
got it together and road worthy by the time i could drive been driving it for about a year and a half this summer i got a beater and this winter the fun will beggin now that im 18 and got a good job im going to stripp it down to the frame and start a complete custom build.

heres some pics of it now

kool pics, which they were so blurry.....hows the top, been thinking about cuttin the top off mine....
pinkmazda   +1y
yea sry bout the blurryness my dad broke my digi last month and keeps sayin hes going to get me a new one but hasnt so i went out and bought a cheap 20 dollers digi till he gets me mine back

the roof is nice when its sunny really nice and people freak out at it but itisnt quite water tight not the hardcover like that because basically it lines up flat and the corners have just a small little gap which allows a small drip at the top corners the back botoom is tight tho i used a chrome strip to overlap if u want the covertable id say get the soft cover a little expensive but if you dont want a drip when its raining worth it my me and my cuz put one on his truck and it overlaps more all the way around and he says it doesnt leak so yea
also the hardcovers a bitch because when you take it off you either have to leave it at home or put it in the bed takes up all the space and you have to strap it down or it slides back and forth the softcover folds up and you can slip it behind the seat or just put a bar across close the front of the bed and slide it in there i would have done it but since im going to start rebeuilding it i figured id wait and do it when it gets to thet time you know

the body has a few dents in it that were never quite straightened out
the paint on the roll pan is starting to crack and peel a little and the front bottom corner of the driver side is starting to bubble up and the floor of the cab has a couple dime size rust spots on the driver side

plans-
*completly restore frame all new suspension (bags)
*rebuild and beef up engine
*hide all brake lines ect behind firewall
*completly replace floor of cab
*smooth everything and get lambo doors
*phantom grill
*make bumber valance and end caps one piece
*probly bout 17 18 inch rim (hate those small ass rims on it)
*maybe a bodydrop only bout 2 to 3 inches tho
*tilt bed
*raise bed floor put setup underneath it
*fuel cell
*make tailgate roll pan bed one piece with the lights at the top of the tailgate
*hardcover on bed with something airbrushed on it so when i tilt it up it will be like a huge mural just not sure yet what itll be
*tilt forward hood with flames shooting up it
*thinking i might try and get 4x4 metal
*interior not sure yet lots of fiberglass lol
*paint- bright metalic pearl blue with these limeish green sliver flames with a thin silver outline- still just a image in my head if anybodys willing to photoshop or draw this itd be much appreciated i cant do either lol
*other things i cant think of now and things i think of as i go along

i know its a lot my dad says im crazy but ohh well i want it all i dont care how long it takes me lol or how much itll cost me cuz ill never get rid of this truck till the day i die its my baby its my first car and will be my last yeaaa

(imagine that 70 year old man dragging down the street in a minitruck lol)

thanks for all the comments

ive loved this truck since the day i seen it in my neighbors driveway all smashed up just a stock piece of junk to most people but ive just seen it as a raw truck in disguise and i cant wait to bring its true potential out.

i've heard that about the hard top convert's....the soft top just isn't the same to me. some guy from texas on cardomain has the hard top, but cut & put hinges on the roof above the corner pilars so that it will fold in two... i think if i do decide to cut the top i will try to make all the necessary stuff my self, maybe i can adapt a seal of some sort to keep it from leaking....

but yes i love your ride...it's all good about the pics, i'd been hoping you'd post some up!

yeah my g-mas old 69 crown vic had this stripping at the roof that flipped out as you opened the door and flipped down as you closed it i was thinking something like that will work t seal it i mean i really loked at it and if you can weld small pieces all you would really need to do is shape a really small piece that matches the shape of the the gap and give it a little indent for the window to close against and weld it in there but that would take some mad skills to do cuz it would have to be super small and just to shape it in the first place would take forever but yea
im sure theres ways to make it sealed just takes some thinkin theres plenty convertables out there that dont leak just everyones to lazy to really sit there and take the time to make things perfect (like my next dor neighbor)
he just used this kit which states for a perfect seal some modification required lol he never modified anything besides cutting it off but yea

my cuz had this fiberglass roof before he got the soft cover the thing was super light and really didnt leak maybe a drip here or there but nothing to even notice at all looked completly like the original roof just a little smoother and cleaner looking but he had some guy make it and my cuz accidently dropped it and it cracked so he just got the soft cover roof
