anyone have pics of mazdas with 215/35-18's?

preferably not bagged, trying to see how low one could go with a mazda on 18's....don't want the trouble of bags on a daily driver....

in the rear you can almost lay it on the frame with a step notch a 4 inch block and all the leaf springs pulled except the bottom one and the overload in the front crank the torsion bars till they kiss the top of the tires I had 17s with 45 seires and I was 2 and a half inches frame to ground in the front and 3 inches frame to ground in the rear
if you wanna go super low get 5 inch blocks for the rear and in front flip your ball joints and trim your lower control are where it mounts up to the cross member so it doesnt bind

damn, and it was driveable?

i had 14s with 195/55's (i think thats right) on my old one and i only had about an inch of clearance up front and i was like 4 inches from the ground

this one is on 18's with 225/40's...

225/40-18 equals 25.1"
215/35-18 equals 23.9"

roughly an inch difference, so it could go 1/2 inch lower and still have the same fender gap as it has now, plus it looks as if it could go about 1" lower now....

so the frame would end up being almost 2 inches lower than this one is (1/2 inch on bottom of tire and 1.5" suspension drop

215/40-17's

same overall size as a 215/35-18, dropped 6" up front and 4.5" out back.....could go 6" all the way around....damn....my old one was only dropped 4" up front....i thought....maybe i was wrong on that one

FYI - If you have a spring shop in your area one other option would involve de-arching the leaf springs. The original setup on my current show truck utilized 4" blocks and all leafs pulled except... Problem was there was a lot of axel wrap from acceleration/braking. Best solution was to de-arch main leaf and original 2nd leaf, then put blocks UNDER the leafs with the axel right on top of the leafs. Did not need shorter shock, rode pretty good, fixed axel wrap situation.
