Well i decided i was goin to play it safe and do a fuel cell so i dont have to worry about dragging my tank off. Can i see some set-ups, and more information on them or what kind to use? Thanks a lot!!

here is a pic or two of my set up, I cut out the spare tire holder & welded in a 1" x 1" square tube frame, it is a Jaz 16 gal Pro street Fuel cell w/ sump from jegs it'll run you @ $190...and about $40 for the tubing, then time to weld it in...that's just how I did it, some of the guys mount it in the bed, some under, some run the plastic cells like mine, some run the aluminum ones....

Thanks. But how hard are they to hook up?

it all depends on how hard you want to make it...basically a line out to the pump, one back to the cell....fittings & braided line get expensive....

They are not hard to install and plumb and wire. I have a Jaz 22 gallon never used cell for sale. Email me if your interested.

Anyway, for install...
You have a pickup line, a return line (if fuel injected), a vent line, a fuel level sending unit. You will need to run an external pump and filter. I run one filter before the pump, and one after the pump. You also don't need to run expensive steel braided line. There are alternatives like push on line and fittings. Then just wire up the sending unit. They make different resistance sending units to work with different gauges.

some pics. If interested it is 25 5/8" square X 9" deep. It should fit between most frame rails.

Cant do it behind frame rails, thats where my reverse 4link is!! lol

Im about to buy one...would this work? Can i use stock fuel pump? if not what kind of fuel pump? Are they hard to hook up? Thanks

Here is my setup. It has been in my truck since 1995 and has never given me trouble. I bought an RCI brand fuel cell and made sure it held pretty close to the same amount of gas as my factory tank. ( it actually held a slight bit more) I got the one that was about the same height. That way I could just transfer my factory sending unit over into he fuel cell and I did not have to try to adapt my gas gauge to an american style sending unit. It works like a charm and I actually have a spare gallon when my tank reads empty so I never have to worry about gas...

or you can be cheap like me and keg it up!

like they said its not hard to hook it up. one fuel like for delivery, one for return, and then the sending unit.
