Here are some pics of the work I finished tonight. I got everything on the drivers side relocated and cut out the inner fender. Not sure what Im going to do with the passenger side. I plan on putting a weber on it after christmas. I have to have emissions done sometime in the next weeks. So Ill put the weber in after its passed. I also have a header and 3" exhuast in the works also. All will have to wait until its been thru emissions.
I planned on notching the rear end while I had the bed off, but I cant relocate the gas tank yet. The gas tank support is in the way of the frame I need to remove.
Heres the bed standing up in the corner and the rack I built to store the topper until I find someone to buy it or trade me a bed cover for it.
Im about 1/2" from laying in the front with the 14s on it. Looks like my lower control arm is hitting the support at the frame. Im going to have to notch them and I might as well reangle my ball joints while Im at it.
I accidently cut thru the firewall right here at the top where I cut the fender. The hole is only about an inch tall and maybe 1/4" wide. Im just going to fill it with seam sealer so water and dirt doesnt get in there. No point in welding it up and risk setting the truck on fire under the dash. lol
Also what are you guys doing with the front brake lines where they used to go thru the inner fenders? Should I just let it hang there? I was thinking about making a bracket and welding it to the frame that will hold it in the same place the fender was holding it.
