88-98 chevy adapters

hey trevor.

i recently acquired some used adapters and wheels for my truck. the jackass that had these things before apparently tried to enlarge the center hole of the front adapters with a torch, in order to fit them on a 4wd dodge.

my question is: are the adapters supposed to 'center' around the hub of the truck, or do the wheel studs center the adapter?

YES the adapters are supposed center on the hub of the truck to obtain the correct fitment.

If they are not screwed up too bad you may be able to have a machine shop cut the hub bore out a bit bigger and then have them machine another insert to match the new opening in the adapter plate and the hub on your truck.
