went to my friends shop today (56k killer)

2 of my friends work in Gainsville, Texas about 30 minutes from where I work. Its a restoration shop but all they restore is all ferraris and mercedes. Every job that comes through the shop is at least 1 million dollars. They told me that if everything runs smooth they can have a car finished in a year to a year and half. They do everything in house from the interiors, to paint and body, to the chrome. Everything is TIG welded and most of the cars and made of all aluminum panels frame and all.

This is going to be a guys daily driver, its on a rotisery getting completely redone.

This next car is completely made of wood. Its just a mold to make all the sheetmetal parts for it. There was only one of these made and the guy that owns is wont' sell it, show it, drive it or anything, so this rich guy from mexico told this shop to build him one so they are making EVERYTHING. They then build a cage with a frame in it and cuts out the car body so they can jig it up and know where the car is suppose to sit on the frame. This was one of the most insane things being build I have ever seen.

This is an old mercedes with gullwing doors and suicidehood.

wow man those are some fine ass rides....lokes like some beautifull craftsmanship..there are only a handfull of guys still doing that kinda work...those cars are really nice but thre deffinatly not all milliondollar cars...like the gullwing mercedes..thats a quartermilliondollar car..not that it makes a difference to anyof us.
