Actually the cops stay away from the Tail most of the time. They and the locals know that on any given Sunday ,lots of fast two wheelers are gonna be wringing it out on that stretch of road. The sobering part of that ride is the little country store at the start of the Tail with all the bike parts decorating a tree in front.Testamony to guys who lost it during their ride.LOTS of bike parts in that tree.Lol.BJ

Provincial highway 314 in Manitoba was built over the Precambrian shield and has an average of 5 curves to the kilometre, all gravel... up, down ,left, right... for over 70 kms. It's a bitchin' ride.

I've been driving that road since it opened (shortest route to our family cabin) and I know it like the back of my hand. The best time to drive it is at night (when you can see oncoming traffic) so you can total advantage of curves and straight-aways.

Cheers !!

While we are the subject...
hocbj23, excellent taste in bikes. I'd love a Speed Triple. I have a 2004 Triumph Daytona 600.

I haven't got up to 170+ like the other guys, but it does OK.
Should have held out and waited for a D675, the D600 is much more comfortable.
I'll have to upload pics somewhere.

sounds sweet b2200gt! i'd like to see pics myself! if any of you guys get a chance & get down south, they have the ama superbike, formula extreme, and sport bike races @ an hour or so from the house @ barber motorsports park around the second or third weekend in april for the past several years.....i went last year, it was awesome, every thing from custom choppers, streetbike, harley's, you name it & it was there, along with the cold beer, if the weather's warm enough, i may ride down this year on saturday, i think it's the weekend of the april 21st....i've done work for my brother, and good friend working on their motorcross bikes, one on a honda cr, the other on a kawi-kx......
