we bought the notch from s.d. before we were going to back halve it and now we decided to, so were just goin with what we got, plus the notch came as a bridge kit with crossmembers and bag mounts and what not.
How are you going to know if the extented piece after the notch that your making is going to be at the correct angle, and height, so the box will bolt back on properly, and not be offset, (to low, or to high)
That hood is insane. Is the hood fiberglass or just a center insert? With the back end I would definitly find another ext.cab frame and measure it up and get some cross bracing in as soon as possible in the one pic it looks like it is spreading out on you. I would also dump the step notch and build it all out of 3x1 1/2 x 3/16 thick tubing.
Its an s-10 hood cowl i think is what we were told, thats fiberglassed into a mazda hood. whoever did it did a super nice job. cross bracing was put in the day after those pics. the guy whos helping us do the truck has done this a few times before so i have faith in him. he does a lot of work for the down to earth club in findlay. no one else liked the hood so he offered it to us and ryan just loved it so we had to have it. and were college students we just cant waste money on dumping our notch and building a whole new one especially when we're tryin to make a show in a week lolz ill have more pics this weekend when we go back up to the shop to work on it. Hopefully soon ill be getting my project truck and if i back half it ill keep all that in mind
