oh i see what he meant. ya even i did that on the rear window. not to shrink it but just to get almost the perfect shape so i dont have to do as much inside the cab

Shrinking tint is okay, its removing seriously old purple tint off rear windows without ruining the defroster that sucks.

Its cheap tint. Seriously though, cheap window film consists of polyester film dyed to achieve the desired color and darkness. The purple appearance is caused when the ultraviolet rays from the sun break down the dyes in poor quality film.

I melted too much tint in the past when learning how to tint lol which is why I hate shrinking lol also agree on removing tint without screwing up the defroster lol I had to do that to an older BMW I had it sucked and I screwed up the defroster lol, Oh well live and learn HAHA

haha my cousin got some cheap ass tint for his car but it didn't turn purple yet. how long before it does on cheap tint?

Tint looks good man. Tint is such a subtle modification,but it makes a huge difference in the overall appearance.

Looks like you did a good job.... I run a professional window tint shop and we have metallized and ceramic window film. MOST dyed films do turn purple over time. When it does it is a real pain removing it, especially on the rear glas with defrost. The mazda bseries is a very easy vehicle to tint. The only windoes that needs to be formed on the outside is the ports (side vent windows).

I have 5% on the rear half, 15% on 2 front doors, 40% on the whole windshield, 15% visor strip. It is dark and it looks awesome. I havent got a ticket yet. Knock on wood.........

ya i do need to update it. but i just got my tires mounted on my rims today and i changed the front end so i'll have a good pic off all of it soon
