Any pics of it directly from the back? Just to show the location of the bars in relation to the center of the truck and how close they are to the gas tank?

Hey Mikey, I'm drooling over your set up. That is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm already notched though. Do you know of a place that sells a set up like or similar to the one you have? I want to do this next month.Hopefully you can walk me thru it as well. is it just me or do the lower links mount right up to where the leaf springs where?

thanks for the info mikey, I have been considering this since the start of this thread so I can still haul my bike.

i think if you give measurements then suicide doors can make something like i got. if you can weld, i can tell you how i made mine. i used ends and brackets from suicide doors and cut and bent the bars. the front mounts are saddle brackets i bought from suicide doors, but they do look kinda like factory ones. the same deal goes for you just like i told todd. the cool thing is that you are closer than he is. ill help out where i can.

Mikey, Thanks a lot man, i need to give those guys a call. I can weld alright, not a pro but I can weld. But all I have is a an arc welder, stick ya know?
Can this be done with the arc welder? I did my notches with it but was told I would need a mig at least to do my links. I personally don't see that as fact but I can't say for sure either. The one thing I do not have is a metal tubing bender.
Another thing I noticed was that since your frame was Z'd then your tank is a bit lower right? because mine would be in the way for that square pipe used for the crossbar for the wishbone. I think I need to start relocating my tank then. I need to PM you, I have some other qestions as far as pinion angle setting prior to welding the lower link bars onto the axle. How did you set yours? did you just eyeball it to where is pretty staright with the tranny? held it in place then tacked welded the lower bars or set it after the upper wish bone was ready to go in? I know, lots of ?'s

by looking at mikey's pics and looking at mine the gas tank is up higher than stock, but we have x-cabs. As far as stick welding mig is easier, but if you have a 220 stick a welding supply shop should be able to get you the correct rod for what your welding.
