Well, I finally took the time to take some pics and show you all how much I'm just trying to brag, LOL! No, not really. But hey, I guess its all about showing off right?
Well, I took these pics right after detailing the inside and washing the outside. Its funny how the dealer told me they washed it and detailed it. Yet when I got done with it, 2 towels were pretty much black!
I got it Tuesday, and its totally different from the mazda! I really like the truck, but I've got to accept the fact its gonna be hard on gas compared to the mazda. I've got a trick up my sleeve though, so it won't be too bad soon.
5.0L v8 Vortech engine. Nothing wrong with the engine and is in strong working order. Less than 100k on the truck and its a '98 GMC Sierra 1500!
I've heard nothing but good things about these trucks and the Schucks guy who I go to for discounts has one and has never had a problem.
Although, Wednesday, I redid the front brakes because of a shimmy in the steering wheel. Schucks could'nt even recut the rotors they were so warped!
I'm a little disappointed though. I got it like this and the last owner or the one before, took out the overload leaf and cut out a coil in the front. It sits lower than stock and thats not what I want when I take this in the mountains for hunting and winter driving!
There are spacers on the front hub as well too cause the tires are not stock and they rub on the upper control arm. I need to get it raised back up! Hopefully that will fix that. It only happens when I'm at full lock at the steering wheel...
Anyhoo, PICS! Its got shaved emblems and trim, etc. Billet grill in the front and a rollpan in the back! Although, I found out the next day when I picked the truck up that the rollpan is only screwed in by self tapping screws!
Overall, nice truck I would say. Whattya think?
Carfax report says its never been in any wreck or had any damages done to it. And there has been only 2 owners. First one owned it for like a year and the second guy kept it for almost 9 years. Bought in california and then the 2nd owner moved to Spokane and got rid of it after a while. Pretty cool to know, lol.
Yea, and when I can get some free time and some motivation, I'll get crackin on the mazda and try and get that done. I plan on driving the mazda during the spring and summer months and this truck during fall and winter. Although, it really is a nice truck to scratch up, lol!
