What is the best way to build credit?

I started a new job and I will make 3 times as much as i used to. I been thinking about going and purchasing some tires and make payments on them or something.

My mom suggested getting a credit card by something give her back the card and pay her by the month untill its paid off lol.

any suggestions fellas?

Your on the right track. If you have no credit history or bad credit, the only way you can prove yourself (and establish credit) to make timely payments on something. This does not necessarily mean you have to spend a bunch on interest. Just keep things payed off and it will help greatly.

you can also have bad credit by having too much credit FYI, also everytime a company makes a credit inquirey it takes points off of your score even if you don't use that company eg mortgage you shop around to 4 banks etc and they all do credit checks it take points.

BUt you sound like you have the right idea

get you a gas card and some sort of retail credit card (where you like to get closes or whatever alot from) make the payments on time (even make them a few days befor they are due) your credit will start to raise within a few months of keeping your credit card bills paid

easiest, quickest way to build credit is jewelery, any kind, go buy some earrings/necklace/ring, something no matter the cost, could be 75 bucks, do it in payments, make two or three payments and then pay it off and do it again, youll build credit VERY quickyl..
