Hey there, i have a Ford courier ute, just an aussie badged mazda, its a 1991 model cab chassis thing with a 2000cc motor i believe, fe engine.
Wondering if the headers to suit a 2200 go on a 2000 as well, and which weber carby would be best and how having LPG would effect a weber installation.
My ute/truck has no power steering and no air conditioning, and i'm thinking of trying to find both from a wrecking yard, do ya think i would be able to just add air con/power steer to my truck from another? It's a 91 model and i used to own an 80something model 2l diesel but it all looks very very similar it seems like not much has been changed over the years, so if i can find something around the same age with power steer/air con....it should all just bolt up to mine right...?

yes you should be able to swap parts over to yours with no prob, just remember to get all of it,as for the steering you will need to get the steering box as well but it will work too you can swap it as well

I paid 900 bucks for my truck with a couple of months rego on it, there was one across the road from it with no rego, he wanted 1300 for it, i know he said it was injected so i guess the 2.6 litre, and it had air con on it, not sure about power steering... I'm considering a few options...had a bench seat though, and i like the buckets in the one i have. Considering a couple of options though... The main thing i like about mine is the economy, its on gas/lpg so it costs me about 30 bucks for like 500km. I could get the 2.6 and swap the bench for my buckets and sell the one i have. Or i could get the 2.6 and pinch the a/c and p/s swap my stuff into it and sell it off... From what I can tell, the 2.6I has 90kw and my 2l has 85kw. So 5kw difference between them really wouldn't be worth the fuel economy loss of going from gas to petrol...Whatever i do i want some more power...and i think its probably easier to coax some more power out of my 2l by way of carby and exhaust than it would be to get power out of an injected one....then i gotta deal with an ecu and junk.

i dont know about ac but the power steering setup on the 2600 is different than the 2200 and 2000. good luck bro

I think with the A/c so long as i got the right bracket and the right hose/plate that takes it through the firewall...i could just get a condensor and compressor that fit...Off something else.

Need to find a master cylinder to suit my courier...the only b2000 down at u pull it doesn't have a master cylinder on it, so i'm wondering if any 121,323,626's or whatever run the same master cylinder.

Not sure about interchanging the car parts. Try comparing images on google

lol sold the 2L and bought the 2.6i with the air con. Slightly better car, though the main reason for selling the 2L was a pretty bad oil leak, which i disclosed to the guy that bought it, sold it pretty cheap. The guy replaced the rocker cover gasket like the next day and the oil leak was completely gone. Spewing. I thought it was the head or main.

Amazing how much oil can leak past a rocker cover. Sometimes hard to tell exactly where the oil is coming from if it is running down the back of the motor.

So now your onto the 2.6i - several of those on here being built or already done. Good luck with the build and throw up some pics when you get a chance.

(yes, we are all a bunch of pic whores)
