Ive seen a few build threads with hardlines, who's done them and do you have any tips or tricks for not messin' it up?

Im harldlining my entire ride in a few weeks, Just bought 100ft of copper type L line from extensive!

I did my whole Ranger set up with copper you are going to love it! For cutting take your time so you do not crush the wall of the tubing. Plan your bends I like to use the spring bender which you slip over the tubing. Copper is much more responsive since it doesn\'t flex. I added a dump line to my valves it was so fast but I was using 1/2 inch line. What size line and what type of fittings did you get?

I also ran 1/2" copper line on my daughters Mazda. Absolutely leak free!!! Have gone more than 30 days without it leaking down. For my setup i had very few curves. Most everything was done using hard copper line with various 45 and 90 degree fittings.

forgive my ignorance here, but are you referring to hard lines for your airbags?

No worries emjay. Yeah he means his air bags.

thanks, that is a nice idea. I can see several advantages to running the copper lines for such. My question though would be how to adapt it to the actual bags. IE what size fittings are used on the individual bags and valves? I work at HD, and don't know of any copper fittings that go smaller than 1/2 in copper. Brass maybe but are they all NPT? (new to the idea of bagging here, lol.) Sorry for thread jack

Lol you help out a lot of members with engine questions I'll do my best to answer any bag questions. Bags actually use NPT. Bags come in port sizes from 1/4" to 1/2" and even larger. The biggest I've seen is 3/4" port but I'm sure others have seen maybe even 1". The fittings I used were compression fittings I bought at Home Depot but there are other fittings out there. I had to use adapters 1/2" NPT to 5/8" Compression I believe it was to adapt to the bag, tank, or valve connections. The valves are also NPT.

i used stainless steel 3/16 with swagelock fittings..polished them up...came out great...they are harder to work with but have the best results

Im going to run 3/8" everything, line and fittings. And most likely nickel plated PTCs, What spring benders are you talking about? Ive seen them online but never seen them used.
