a friend of mine was killed working under his car on sunday, it was on jack stands and was on a flat surface, nobody knows how it happened, his mom was the one who found him but it was too late, he was working alone with nobody around
he was one great guy who always makes you laugh even on your worse days, and was a very talented guy and the ladies loved him, he will be greatly missed

no matter how fast 911 is, its not soon enough, so PLEASE! let this be a lesson to everyone.

if your doing work under your truck slide your wheels under the truck, who care if the truck falls on them and wrecks them you still might be alive!
and have someone with you while your under the truck as long as they know how to operate a jack they just might save your life

agreed im sorry mate. my grandpa always tells me to put jackstands under the my rig. and it could also be that he didnt have the jackstand up high enough. or not a tall enough jackstand.

Wow man, yeah sorry for everyone effected.

I always worry when under the truck/car, on stands of not. I usually keep the jack there as well "just in case."

Very sorry to hear about this.... I always use stands/jack/blocks, etc..... Never can be too safe about things in my opinion.

i've got my truck up on stands right now... be working on the carrier bearing, and just before i started work i got the back on ramps, the front is on stands and before i crawled under i had a bad feelin about the possibility of my truck coming crashing down on me while i was under it and left my jacked raised up on the driver side next to one of my stands... you know... just in case... and this was sunday i was doing this.... like i had a bad feeling sometime might happen if i didnt take some precautions... seeing how your buddy and i were both doing the same thing sunday, it very well could have been me you guys could have been reading about... im sorry for your loss, mike. i really do appreciate you posting this as that kind of explains the iffy feelings i had sunday when i went to start work.

This happened to a family member when I was younger, so I don't like to let people work on vehicles alone... And I definitely don't like for Leland to, but sometimes I just have too much to do in my 2 days off, that I'm the only one that does any of it. (Like our laundry, dishes, and general cleaning)
I'm sorry about your friend midnightmike.
