1984 B2000 tailgate on 86-93 B truck?

Folks has anybody done this? I'm getting a pretty good deal for an 84 truck but don't know if at least this part will fit my 93 B2600i. If not anyone know where to get the stamped (mazda name in the metal) tailgate?

the 82-85 mazda b parts ( in this case the tailgate) will NOT fit the 86-93 .. post an ad on craigslist in your area , or look in the junkyards in your area , and last but not lease post a wanted ad on here in the forsale section of the board and give your location . you'll want something local or depending how far you want to drive for it .. other wise if you don't mind the cost having one shipped then try ebay i'm sure there's one on there some where.

Nothing from a pre 84 mazda will swap onto 86-93. I mean NOTHING, even wheels are a huge guessing game.

You could cut out the stamped mazda and weld it into your existing tailgate.

I'm currently located in Puerto Rico so craigslist probably won't help much. Shipping is probably going to be a lot higher than in the contiguous 48 for a tailgate. As for what Johnnydigits mentions I'm curious to know if these stamped tailgates were from a specific year.

Yes I know for a fact from 1980-1984 the mazdas had stamped tail gates.
