I don't think it having a 4 lug swap is the problem. It looks like they decided on a 4x100mm lug pattern which is too small of a circle to grab the "meat of the drum" which is why the lug nut holes in the drum have cut into the center bore. I personally would not ride like that. I would go to a five lug swap or just go back to 6 lug. There are less wheels available for the 6 lug, but they're plentiful in the 5 lug.

As for the brakes, if you feel safe riding on the 4 lugs, yes, all you need is a rear hardware kit, wheel cylinder, shoes, turn the drums (provided they are within spec) and straighten the backing plate. Front should just be a set of pads and turn the rotors.

Also, I've never been bagged on the leaf springs, but I have ridden THOUSANDS of miles on monoleafs with ZERO problems. Nissans are notorious for dragging thru the front of the spring unless you relocate the mount upward. But being monoleafed in itself is not a prob. They bend, but rarely break (unless you drag thru it). Not saying I know it all, but I've been draggin Mazdas since 95.

One thing you can look into if you are deadset on having 4lug, a Toyota tercal 4wd wagon I think thats what there called or something, my dad had one and we put it through hell and it hold up and its a 4lug, on a bright side its smaller so you could use spacers

dude that sucks. lighter note doesn't look like it'd be to hard to go back to the 6 lug patter in the rear. would have to get new studs for both sides (12). but you'd need some 6 lug wheels. hard to tell about the front, the picture you posted appears to be an adapter. about the brakes, looks like just need rotors up front turned and new pads. and new hardware and pads for the rear. you may be able to get new studs for the rear and be ok with its current 4 lug. i would def be more worried about the monoleaf more then anything else at this point, well thats of course after you get your brake situation squared away. oh and another thing. the fittings your asking about use the ptc fittings.

can you get a picture of the other side. does the rim sit all the way against the hubs or do they sit on the raised center part of the hub.

Why don't you just go back to 6 lug like mine with 14" brakes.
