Today was a good day! Worked on my mazda after 6 years

So I went out to my parents house this afternoon to put the new bed and doors on my mazda. It's been sitting pretty much untouched for 6 years and was full of mouse nest and other crap. I rebuilt the motor top to bottom and only had 1000 miles on it before it was parked so I was really hoping it still ran. Poured some gas in the carb, hooked up the jump box and it fired right up! Not a single knock, tick or anything. Did notice the fuel pump was leaking so I'll be buying a new one. Hopefully I'll be bringing it home in a few weeks to give it a much needed bath and start bagging the front so I can get it on the road again.

Hell yeah man i feel ya on this. I just recently started messin with mine again after it sitting untouched for about 2.5 years. Not as long as you but still feels like forever.

mine sat untouched before i got it for 4 years i had been trying to buy it off of the guy from the day it broke and fineally he said give me 250 for it well about 4 grand later and no build thread it sets pretty like it does lol look me up on face book Aaron Campbell from theodore alabama green and white extened cab hopefully if ill be starting a build thread within the next week or so
