i can honestly say i have never changed a colum as easy as the one in my B i have one that the key was broken off in and my parts truck took the locks off the doors and the whole colum its almost to easy its 4 nuts at the base and 2 bolts directly under the dash you can just pull the steering rod apart under the hood as it slides apart rather easy and with little help from a partner goes back together just as easy just my 2pennies i would go ahead and buy it but see if you can get the key locks for the doors to so you have a matching set of keys

i know it comes out easy - its just that i don't need another colum - waste of money for me to buy the whole thing - it might take me forever to sell it cause its not a tilt colum . i've taken one out before out my parts truck i had years ago. if i had known i would have kept the damn thing when i took it out instead of selling it with the truck to two dudes in indiappolios .

i guess i have to buy the damn thing once i get cash . alot of the yards don't get the keys with the vehicle when they get em . so 9 times out of ten you can't buy the ignition tumbler with keys.

have you tried to get a key for your truck? can call a lock smith or the dealer. but you will probably spend that same amount. i sold an ignition switch and matching key locks for $125 a few years back so $75 to get them with keys and a column is a hell of a deal.

well i wouldn't need them if the ignition wasn't busted by the tow company that was told to take it out my storage by the storage yard- yes i'm partially at fault but they could have called me and asked me to unlock the truck instead of damaging my door and ignition to get the wheels unlocked.
