Post up!

Does anyone know a tonneau that will cross reference and fit my mazda? I can get the best price on a truxedo or something else main stream because my guy will have them in stock in town. I had one of their low profile covers on my slammed Dakota for 3 years even during the winter with no issues. The problem is none of these modern companies make anything for my truck! Any one running something intended for another truck on their mazda? how does it fit?

I need three things before i roll my truck

Windshield! Exhaust! and tonneau to hide my air setup!

Thanks in advance guys

this would be nice to know for the future for me too. I have looked at most of the top named and you are right about nobody making them anymore.

On my extended cab( 86 model, but would be the same-93 ) I had a hard tonneau off of a 2000 ford ranger extra cab. The frame was bolted together, so a little adjusting and the frame fit inside the bed rails. The cover itself was a slightly over the rail design but had a low profile. I think it was a Leer.

Not sure about standard cab short and long wheel base models though.

Had one from a 2000ish ford ranger on my truck for a while and it fit fine. I'd say go to a used far out with a tape measure and see what other truck beds ate the same size

Thanks for the information guys
I would love to find a used one because spending another few hundred on a tonneau is the last thing i want to do this week after paying for a new windshield and I'll be paying for custom exhaust on Friday.

Even with all this good information I am going build my own out of clear plexiglas (I allready have FREEBIE) and aluminum diamond plate. That will make it match the diamond plate bed floor in the very near future.

If your looking for a solid lid, CheckMate or CheckerPro ( ) whatever they are called has one, or will make you one. I've had one on my daily Dakota for 11 years and love it.\

Now, the bad, it's prob $4-500, the place is in Kentucky, and shipping one of those things gets expensive. It's flush, but the 'glass is not perfect, you can see some random "hairs" through the gelcoat. With a bit of work they can be ultra smooth.

Checkmate moved to Texas. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to see how much they are for our trucks

unfortunately getting something like that to me in Canada is going to cost a few hundred just to ship and even then i can only hope its undamaged once it arrives. I'm going to pick up a truxedo low profile tonneau for the ford ranger and see how it goes!
