I've got more points than either Earl or Dan. But I think it's because of Mrs. Cusser's hooters.

But at least that gets my posts read...

I don't want to bore you with a long explanation but the point system probably won't make a lot of sense until later. I started to work on adding features to this forum which is based on phpbb3 and also a stand alone site on the side. I was spending to much time dissecting and learning the code of phpbb3 I decided to just focus on the new site instead so I left the current system in place.

You guys may agree or disagree but just like off the internet, on forums there are members who will go out of their way to share information you need to help with your project or at least say an encouraging word. Then there are those that are always asking for information but never passing it a long to help the next guy or girl. My vision for the point system is to help highlight those members who are willing to help out.

Just for starters members would get points when people thank them for an informational post, their answer receives the top vote as solution to a problem, or even taking to write a tech article.

In short terms, just a way to show people they are appreciated for their contributions.
