So grant kustoms is being stupid and wants me to pay $17.23 shipping plus $9.99 for the license plate light. So does anyone have a pic of what they are supposed to look like? My license plate box has 3 holes in it for the light not the rectangle cut out like my old one had. Thanks to anyone that can help

Hey man here is a picture of what I was talking about

thread post photo
I just remembered I might have a light from a long time ago in the shop. I'll look tonight.

Those are nice but I still have holes where the other light should go. Truck is already primed so I don't really want to weld up the holes

Wow, ya such a jack off. I took the time to explain that UPS was the only shipping method that we have available to us at our location and suggested that you wait till there is another item you need so it could just get a free ride with that item (witch if you ordered it with the pan, there would have been no additional shipping). Then you criticize the price of the part and the shipping. At the end, I said "sorry that we couldn't meet your shipping expectations", what a jack off I am.

I've had those led bolt lights before, and had to have them stick way out, using the end of the threading, just for them to light my plate... Those are technically made for motorcycles which have a considerably smaller plate. They were more of a pain than they were worth. I personally love my led plate light that I got from autozone... Bolts on using the factory holes of the license plate itself

this is what i have

Do you not see a problem with the cost? I nicely ask you how $17.23 was a reasonable amount to charge to ship a small $9.99 light and never got a response back. I guess it's all about the money for you guys and that's fine but you won't be getting any more of mine.

Have you thought what it cost to ship stuff? They have a account and ups comes to them to pick stuff up that adds to the cost compared to going to a ups store or hub to drop stuff off, they have to box it up meaning there is the packing supplies and someones labor to box the light up. all of which cost money. on a 9.99 light theres not a lot of mark up so do you expect them to lose money to send you something? and although the name is very well known Grant is a very small bussiness that only has a couple employees.

Yes there are cheaper ways to ship stuff but they are not available to every company. some places only ship ups some fedex and some usps, and some have options some don't. I run into it all the time ordering stuff and I factor shipping prices into what im buying and always try to make one big order to spread shipping costs out compared to 10 little orders that can double or tripple the shipping costs.

I understand that you don't feel the price is justified but that is the quote UPS gave me. As I said before, I am sorry we could not meet your expectations but how that translates to me being a "jack off" I don't know. There is a difference between not getting exactly what you want and being rude, they aren't one and the same. Also, if you really didn't want to pay shipping on that small part, you could have had it shipped with the pan

I apologize for referring to you as a jack off I guess I was just aggravated at the situation
