New to the scene. Had a few questions in reference to the 1990 B2200 Extended cab I just bought on Monday. Older gentleman had the truck and hardley ever drove it. 78k miles is all it has. Runs like a top. I had a standard cab 88' B2000 about 18 years ago and I'm a little rusty on the specs.

1) Can anyone take a pic of the horn location? I think mine is missing

2) Didn't the truck have a "key in the ignition" chime and a "lights left on" chime. Mine has neither

3) My new toy needs lots of attention. Intending to use drop spindles (and a slight twist of the torsions) and drop leafs to lower it about 3 inches. Any reason not to do it this way?

4) 17" wheels without hydraulics big enough? Too big?

Can't wait to get started. Phase one of the stereo system goes in next week. Spray in bed liner being installed in two days. One of my best friends is a body man. Another is a welder, so I should have some sweet custom changes to be made. Throw any ideas you have at me. Its a clean slate right now with a couple of ideas. I plan on posting pics as I go. Inside needs a complete overhaul. Suggestions for that as well, like fabric versus tweed versus leather, etc. She will be a beaut by the time I'm done.

Welcome to the Scene! Lets see a few pics also.

The 17" wheels should work, I know quite a few are running them here......I'm more of a stock type guy myself, although 15" are nice for me!

Here's a pic of the horn.......the bumper & grille are removed on my truck here also......as if you couldn't tell!

Some of the trucks, like the LX package trucks, had the chime thing in them.....not sure if it chimed when the lights were left on though......thought it was just for the key in the ignition and the door was opened.....maybe I'm wrong here.

Look up Mazdizzle's post on his truck he just put together......he did a tweed wrap on a lot of the interior panels, including the dash......it looks great! He did a perfect job on it, and it can give you some ideas for the interior.

Welcome man!

Horn? You want to know where it is so that you can replace it with airhorns right
These trucks had different levels of kit, if you have bugger all, I think it's the "SE".
Mine is the "SE" it has bugger all, but after all, they're utility vehicles and not family sedans

Welcome to the scene

Thanks for all the input and links. Keep it coming. And I really have thought about airhorns as a replacement. That would blow someone's mind to hear that type of horn coming out of that small of a truck.

Here is a quick pic of the truck. The only two things I have done to it so far is wash it (with a little wax to the hood and top) and took the crumpled back bumper off.
