Does anybody know what the torque is on the flywheel bolts on a mazda B2200 5 speed ? does 71-76 ft. lbs. sound right ? It's been awhile since i rebuilt this B2200, back in 2007, also what kind of sealer should i use on the threads ? Would permatex #2 work ? Like i said it's been awhile, and i can't find it in my chilton work shop manual. Thanks in advance.

Torque should be 95-137lbs based on my checks and is listed for the b2000 BUT this is the same trans set up and I used the blue lock tite on mine when I did my full clutch kit in 2010.Kinda tired so these specs are what I went by on my new flywheel I installed in this process. No issues with things as of now.I checked both my haynes (idk there weird could not find) my chiltons have two manual and both say the above. You should be fine can't recall what I set mine at.Ok

I've got my 1988 factory service manual open, in front of me. For B2200, here's what it states:

71 -76 ft lb for flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts

16- 24 ft lb for pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts

Right on, thanks for the replys. What kind of sealent should i use on the bolts, i know the bolt holes go through into the crankcase and will leak oil if no sealent is used. I've used #2 Permatex on leaking bolts on my old panhead with good success. When i'm done, i want to call my little truck, No Leaks. And mean it.

I did mine the first time with no sealant, and for sure it leaked, second time (and the last I hope!) I used Permatex high temp thread sealant and have no leaks a year later

Thank You all, i'm going to use the #2 permatex, if it'll work on the hot running air-cooled harley engine i think i can count on it working on the mazda engine. Thanks again.
