I got around to start looking over this truck i bought months ago and was under the car and noticed the po had removed one of the torsion bars on the driver side but left the other in, should I remove the other and drive as is or buy one for the passenger side and re index them? concerned about wear and tear on the front end and tires, he did weld in some crude bump stops on the A Arms, but i'm wondering about driveabilty problems that I will have with them removed. new to the torsion bar suspension world and would like some in put please.

Well, the torsion bars ARE your front suspension springs........without them there really is no travel in the front suspension......your riding on the bump stops.......until they are gone, from the constant beating they're taking.
I say put them back in and re-index them to get the ride height you want......at least it will keep you off the bump stops...........until you hit a bump.

He's right. The torsion bars are the front suspension. If you can live with the harsh ride then leave them out. If you want some "give" put them in and re index.

id say def buy another torsion. its dangerous cuz you have nothing to keep your truck from getting bounced around by a big bump

thanks all that's what I will do as soon as I get to the pick and pull in reno/scl, unless someone has one out here in NE Nevda, that they want to get rid of.
