Anyone know about Saturn Ions?

Ok my oldest son has a 2003 Saturn Ion tha the was driving the other day and it cut off. Now it wont start. It will crank but wont start. This car has the Ecotech motor. I am at a loss on this problem. Fuel pump is working and the car has spark.

Ok so how do u mean it cut off? Did it die while running or u shut it down and then it wouldn't fire back up? Let us here some more info man and we'll gladly try and help out.

Ok he was driving the car and it shut off. I have checked for spark? (yes) fuel? (yes). I have also taken the valve cover off and checked the timing chain. I have done some research on this issue and there are several problems with this vehicle

Ok this is all I have to say about Saturns they are GM'S rejects and suck.
