IMO, if you're looking for cheap and durable, go with an industrial single stage. If you're spraying it yourself, DEFINITELY single stage. It is very difficult to get a large area of base clear to look good if you don't have a booth. If you happen to get a dust nib in the base before you clear, it turns into a giant pain to sand out, sometimes impossible. Single stage you can always wet sand and polish an imperfection. I've had good luck with PPG Omni single stage, and also Dupont's "Imron" line of industrial paints. The key to a good paint job though is all in the prep.
