okk its 1986 manual b2200 with an fuel injected f2l engine to tell u the truth i really dont kno if tht engine originally came on tht truck. but when i got bak from work rite now it seemed like it was overheating or something. cause when i got home i parked turn it off nd disconnected the fan from the battery and it was makn like some kind of boiling noise in the radiator and resourv tank. so im hoping it aint nothing big. in the morning it was fine but i think cause it was cold outside nd i had nothing but down hill all the way to work, coming bak is the complete opposite its one big hill nd the rest is flat but its really hot outside.

Just a quick couple of questions for you. Do you know if the fan/motor itself is good? Will it run if you connect it straight to 12 volts? Is your problem still the relay switch and or the thermostat switch that controls it? If so, then it would probably be cheaper for you to get the electric fan running versus switching over to a belt driven setup. I put a flex-a-lite combination thermostat/relay on mine and it works pretty good. There are others out there too. If you just need to replace the existing standard type relay, that might be really cheap. There should also be some kind of temp sensor that could be acting up also.

If you need some help with a relay switch problem, or the fan control thermostat, we could probably talk you through getting it working again cheaper than you can buy all the parts to switch to belt driven setup.

On a side note, do you know the condition or age of the water pump, thermostat, and radiator? 10 years is a pretty full life these items. Some will last longer, but some will last less. You might think about these when you're getting your system going again.

If you just want to switch back to belt driven, then you'll probably need a new factory mount w/bearing (unless you have one), a pulley, a clutch, a fan, and a shroud.

When you go looking for a mount/bearing, you will need one that came from a B2200 since the B2000 mount is different (based on your saying that you have a B2200 engine.)

The fan, clutch, and shroud will ideally need to come from a truck that has the same transmission as yours as they were different in manual versus automatics.

I've got some parts from a 5 speed truck also if you end up needing some.

yeah tht will be cool i live over here in perris california 92570. and no i crashed my truck a month ago but i pulled out the dents all i need is jus a hood and front bumper. oh and a radiator my fan is done jus the bolt tht holds it spins so id rather get a pulley fan. yeah can u provide me some pics. and 91 600i it was my radiator cap the rubber piece was broken air was gettin thru when i was driving it it really didnt heat up but i do need a new thermostat. snd some times when i get bak from my job id park it and turn it off but it sounded like if the fluid in my radiator was boiling
