changin clutch

hey guys took my old clutch out my old truck (just replaced it) and my new truck needs a new one. im just in a back yard with a few jacks and a socket set. i can drop a tranny but i need to find a good way to hold it up so i can slide it bak in when i put the new clutch in. last time the hole tranny fell out and it was a b...h to get it lifted back up. I want it to be done quicker and esier this time. Any ideas?

jack the truck up and throw some jack stands under it use a floor jack to lift it back up into position

u think i can use a board under the floor jack so it can roll forward to slide it back in?

yeah i used a piece of like a 2x6 wit a cheap rachet strap to the board and i just cut the strap off when i got mine in place

cool cus last time i had to try to jack the front of the tranni bak up n took 2 jacks cause thay wantd to slip off n i had no help so it suckd.

yeah i know about no help i do ALL my own work figures better to learn than to pay sum1 it would be good to have a extra set of hands to help line it up
