I reset mine when I installed a new cluster, the new one had 243k and my old one had 103k so I disassembled the cluster removed the odometer and reset it. The hardest part was removing the clear cover face. There are 6 or 7 snap latches that have to be released at the same time. I used pieces of narrow feeler gauges forcing them into the snaps to hold all the snaps open at the same time, then you can gently lift off the cover and gain access to the rear and the odometer, just be careful and take your time

Just take your time and don't force anything, the plastic parts are old and brittle, use care with the odometer as I recall you have to remove one small c-clip on the shaft to begin the process and the mileage rings have to be set in sequence either low to high or visa versa you will see when its out. Take the odometer all the way out of the speedo. You might want to take some detailed close up pictures before you start, its always nice to have a picture to refer back to, good luck
