Short shifters

Anyone ever installed a short shifter in there mazda or ford ranger? Just wondering where I could find one and if there worth it

You can check out " target="_blank they focus on rx7 stuff,but the shifters and parts associated with these are identical to the b2200 and or likes,b2,b2600 and use the same pieces like shifter boots,shims,with the shifter itself.These pieces are parts that go on the trans itself with your shifter boot removed.I have done some homework on this and compared part #s for parts I went with mazda to get they just alter the #s part wise but is the same stuff.They sell short shifters and something to consider.

I cut lots of inches out of mine and welded the thread part closer to the bottom... With as short as it is, cortnye has a hard time driving my truck.
